Arise – Accelerate Columbus Small Business Feature

The owner of Clean Green, Ibrahim DOUMBIA, which provides residential and commercial cleaning, understands the challenges of establishing a business and ensuring its longevity. In the Arise JPS Print New American and minority-owned businesses initiative program, he is now one of twenty entrepreneurs. JPS Print, owned and operated by Liberian American and Dominican-American entrepreneurs Alpha Tongor and Zari CT, was one of seven Entrepreneur Support Organizations selected by the city of Columbus to launch its accelerated Columbus Small Business Initiative. JPS Print is offering accessible business development training to new Americans and minority-owned business owners. They understand these communities’ challenges and want to equip them with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in business. In addition to aiming to provide the resources and support to help these business owners reach their goals.

Clean Green: According to Ibrahim DOUMBIA, the company’s owner, the company has operated for over sixteen years. “The pandemic was a blessing in disguise because it helped increase residential contracts since more people were home.” Clean Green’s friendly and knowledgeable team can help with all your cleaning needs. They use eco-friendly products and techniques to ensure your home or office is free of dirt, dust, and allergens. Their services are affordable, and their customer service is top-notch. Clean Green can make your home a clean and healthy place, and 90% of the customers always request another round of services from us.

Programming services: For three consecutive months, there will be three sessions per month. They will discuss topics related to crucial business needs in each session. Each entrepreneur will partner with mentors or trainers in their related line of work. The program will also connect the entrepreneurs will resource in central Ohio. JPS Print will then leverage the resources and expertise offered by the city’s Minority Business Assistance Center, and Small Business Administration to develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy that will help to reach the goal of empowering other new American community businesses.

Accelerate Columbus: According to their preference, applicants can choose up to four (4) programs from which they would like to enroll, and based on availability, they will then sign up for one (1) of those programs.  As part of the Scale-up and Grow Program, twenty new American and minority-owned business owners will receive free business development training from JSP. The program will started in March and ends in December.

Tackling new contracts, handling accounting expenses or issues, or advertising in these modern times prove challenging. In my experience of working in the business world, some of my clients just wanted to do the job. “So, learning how to balance the different sides of the business by partnering with JPS and participating in the accelerated Columbus program will be beneficial in the long run,” said the owner. Having a clear vision and understanding of the different aspects of the company is essential to success in helping a client. Ibrahim DOUMBIA and others in this program will be able to gain more attention after completing Accelerate Columbus’ program, which is the program’s benefit and mission.
